The market right now
Only 3 homes closed in Pottsville in September 2026. A median from that few sales can swing a long way, so I don't quote it. RPR's estimate for a typical Pottsville home, about $221,000, is the steadier number. There were 7 homes for sale at the end of the month.
Across Pope County, 57 homes closed in September 2026 at a median of $215,000. The median home took 35 days to go under contract, and sellers got about 97.8% of asking price.

What it's like to live in Pottsville
Pottsville sits on Highway 64, six miles east of Russellville, with its own exit on I-40 (exit 88). The 2020 census counted 3,140 people, and the Census Bureau's 2025 estimate is 3,326.
From 2010 to 2020 the town grew 10.6%, the fastest of the six incorporated towns in Pope County over that decade.
Russellville's hospital, shopping, Arkansas Tech University and Lake Dardanelle are a short drive west.
Potts Inn is the landmark. Kirkbride Potts finished it in 1858, it served as a stop on the Butterfield Overland Mail stage route, and it is now a museum run by the Pope County Historical Foundation.
The tradeoff, honestly. It's a small town, and few homes are for sale at any one time. If Pottsville is where you want to be, have your financing lined up before the right one shows up.
Getting around
Highway 64 runs through town and I-40 exit 88 is the Pottsville exit.
Drive times are town center to town center with no traffic, estimated from OpenStreetMap routing in October 2026 and rounded to the nearest five minutes. Where you start in town changes them.
Schools
Pottsville has its own district, the Pottsville School District. It runs four schools: Pottsville Elementary (K to 2), Upper Elementary (3 to 5), Junior High (6 to 8) and High School (9 to 12). About 1,800 students were enrolled in 2025-26, per the Arkansas Department of Education.
District lines out in the county don't always follow the town name on the mailbox, so if a particular school matters to you, check the exact address with the district before you make an offer. I'll help you do that.
The state publishes a report card for every public school at myschoolinfo.arkansas.gov.
Work I've done nearby
I haven't closed a sale in Pottsville yet, and I'd rather tell you that than pretend. I work Pope County from Clarksville, I've closed in Russellville on South Quanah Avenue, and I've done more than 25 closings across the River Valley since January 2025.
What you'd get in Pottsville is the same homework I do everywhere: recent sales pulled before we ever talk price, and a phone that gets answered.

Call or text: 903-824-2018What would yours bring?
Pottsville is a small market, so a town-wide number won't tell you much about your house. Recent sales on your road and nearby roads will. Tell me the street and I'll run the numbers from recent sales nearby, the same homework I'd do if it were hitting the market next week. I'll text you what I think it'd bring.
